Students and teachers prepare for the 2016 Talent Show
The Talent Show, one of the most competitive events in school, will hold its next edition on October 21th, 2016. It will include about 30 attractions. There will be individual performances by pianists and other musicians, group performances by music bands, artistic gymnastics and various other performances. The coordinator of the event, Ms. Lorraine Brotero, says that rehearsals are in full force: students can rehearse their numbers at home or at school in their free time, such as during recess.
In order to organize all the presentations, the Talent Show team relies on the help of the music teacher, Roberta Braga, to assist students and the technology teacher, Otávio Garcia, to help with the technical aspects. Sixth grade teachers are also involved in the production of the event. Sixth grade students are responsible for event posters and behind the scenes responsibilities, while their parents set up the snack bar on the day of the event to raise money for graduation.
Ms. Brotero invites the entire academic community to attend the Talent Show, starting at 7PM on October 21st, 2016. There will be rehearsal, on October 19th and 20th, from 15h30 to 18h. "There’s a lot to be done and prepare. It is labor intensive, but we work as a team, which is pretty fun," concludes Ms. Brotero.
